My Vision Explained publishes educational content about eyes and vision at myvisionexplained.com. For anything in this policy, write to contact@myvisionexplained.com.
What we collect
Information you give us. If you email us, we have your email address and whatever you wrote. We use it to answer you and nothing else. We do not sell it, rent it or add it to a mailing list without you asking.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our server and our analytics record standard technical data: IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, time on page, and the page that referred you. This is used to understand which articles are useful and to keep the site working.
Cookies and advertising
This site is supported by advertising, including Google AdSense.
- Third party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site or other sites.
- Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this and other sites on the internet.

Health information
We want to be direct about this, because the subject of the site invites it: do not send us details about your own medical condition. We cannot evaluate them, we will not answer clinical questions, and we would rather not hold that information at all. If you write to us anyway, we delete the message once we have replied.
Your rights
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the processing of your personal data, and to object to it. If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request its deletion, and to opt out of the sale of personal information. Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
